Located at the heart of the pastel charm of South Beach’s iconic Art Deco District, Hotel Astor was designed by architect T. Hunter Henderson in 1936. Although Henderson was a prolific architect, responsible for a total of 29 properties throughout Miami Beach, Hotel Astor is undoubtedly his piece de resistance. Extensive renovations in 1997 and 2002 have updated the hotel without compromising the architectural integrity of the coral stone facade. Many internal features have also been preserved including the 1936 Vitrolite wall panels and original terrazzo floors.
